AKD has provided Luxembourg law advice to Bridgepoint, one of the world's leading private asset growth investors, in connection with the sale of its stake in SMYK Group to a consortium of investors including Mr. Michal Grom, CEO of SMYK Group, Mr. Maciej Zużałek and the Accession Capital Partners fund.

SMYK Group is a leading retailer of children's apparel, toys, and accessories in Poland. The transaction was challenging due to the complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders and the requirement for a multi-jurisdictional effort to affect the management buyout.

The AKD team acted as Luxembourg co-counsel to A&O Shearman and consisted of Cédric Bless, Imède El Moudden and Iordanis Arvanitidis.
