AKD advises Cogas on selling its 50% stake in Cogas Kabel Infra to joint-venture partner Delta Fiber

December 21, 2020

AKD has advised Cogas on the successful sale of its 50% stake in Cogas Kabel Infra B.V. to joint-venture partner Delta Fiber. CKI, a joint-venture established in 2012, has had a pioneering role in rolling out fibre-optic internet in the Cogas’ service area in the east of the Netherlands, providing high-speed internet to over 110,000 businesses and households and creating one of the best-covered regions in the country. No longer seeing telecommunications as one of its core activities, and having realized its goals with CKI, Cogas decided to sell its stake and focus its resources on leading the energy transition going forward.

AKD is proud to have advised Cogas on this landmark deal.                                                                                                                                                                              The AKD team consisted of Carlos Pita Cao (Lead Partner), David Molenaar, Casper Schnepper, Valéry Schaap (Corporate M&A), Marjolein Dieperink and Maarten de Wit (Energy), Joost Houdijk (Competition), and Angelique Martens (Corporate Notarial).
