AKD advised Newion Investments Capital Early Work Placement Fund during the investment in 24i Unit Media B.V. Newion acquired a minority shareholding with this investment.

24i Unit Media was founded in 2009 and primarily focuses on the development of TV apps for a range of devices, such as smart TVs, game consoles, tablets, and mobile telephones. The clients of the company include Pathé, RTL, Nubeox, and FOX Sports, and it is still run by its two founders. They will continue to be involved in the management of the company after the investment.

24i Unit Media currently has branch offices in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, and Los Angeles. With this investment the company is aiming to boost its turnover and its international expansion. Newion believes the market for TV apps is an international growth market and was keen to support the international growth of 24i Unit Media with this investment.

The team of AKD was led by Nathalie van Woerkom and also included Angelique Martens, Rosanne Vlasveld, and Robert Vodegel.
