AKD has assisted Culina Group Limited, a leading British provider of logistics services for FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), with the acquisition of International Road Ferry (IRF). IRF is a major player in the transport market and has offices in Rotterdam and Grubbenvorst (Venlo) in the Netherlands, as well as in Felixstowe and Thetford in the United Kingdom. IRF specialises in unaccompanied transport of both full loads and part loads between Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland.
Headed by Carlos Pita Cao and David Molenaar, the AKD team consisted of Valéry Schaap, Tycho Heijnsbroek and Peter Cohen (Corporate), as well as Ludo Luijks and Maud Plattel (Tax), Barbara Wilbrink, Jorian Gunst, Harmke Brouwer and Bart van der Sluijs (Transport & Trade), Jorn de Bruin (Employment and pensions), Joost Houdijk and Marjolein Snoek (Competition), and Floris van Westrhenen (Real Estate).
