AKD has assisted Vitec Software group AB, a Swedish Nasdaq Stockholm listed company, with its latest acquisition to strengthen its position in Vertical Market Software. It is the third time in twelve months that Vitec has enlisted AKD’s legal assistance.

In this latest carve-out transaction, Vitec has acquired Memorix, a leading Dutch software company that develops and delivers collection management software for digital heritage, collections and archives for museums.

The AKD team guided Vitec through the entire controlled auction process, advising on strategy from the first bidding stage, through due diligence coupled with W&I insurance, all the way to the signing of the final transaction documentation. In this complex carve-out, the team also drew on AKD's in-house expertise in the fields of IP/IT, Tax and Employment law to bring this transaction to a successful close.
