AKD assisted Belgian real estate company WDP in its purchase of logistics property in the Netherlands, including projects in Eindhoven, Zwolle, and the region of Zwolle.
- WDP purchased a plot of land on business park 'Park Forum' in Eindhoven from the municipality of Eindhoven for the development and construction of a distribution centre for Brocacef. Brocacef expects this expansion (adjacent to the existing Brocacef Science Park) to be delivered in 2020. The expansion will be equipped with solar panels.
- WDP constructed a new distribution centre in Zwolle for Wehkamp. Right next to its fully automated distribution centre that opened in 2015, Wehkamp now has an additional distribution centre of more than 60,000 m2 at its disposal. In total, the distribution centre now amounts to 100,000 m2. Wehkamp intends to make its logistics more efficient and flexible with the additional space.
- In Hasselt (the region of Zwolle), WDP purchased new and newly refurbished logistics industrial premises on a plot of land of 28,000 m2 from Herstructureringsmaatschappij Overijsel (HMO) for Scania. With these premises, Scania intends to anticipate the increasing demand, and to make transport more efficient.
AKD provided legal and notarial services to WDP, and assisted them in the due diligence processes for these projects, and throughout the entire process of negotiations and contracting. AKD's team, headed by Marlies Pierik and Reint Bolhuis, also consisted of Taco de Lange, Erik Dans and Stijn Visch.
