Our Luxembourg team successfully assisted WindShareFund Europe in obtaining the approval from the Luxembourg financial regulator “CSSF” on its prospectus in relation with the offering of up to EUR 25,000,000 3% + variable component ClimateBonds due 2030. The ClimateBonds are offered to retail investors in the BeNeLux, France and Germany and will enable the issuer to invest in green energy.
The structure of the issuance is unprecedented for this category of issuer and the terms of the ClimateBonds, governed by Luxembourg laws, are particularly innovative and unique in their field. WindShareFund Europe belongs to the WindShareFund group, a group that invests into wind energy and is committed towards the ongoing development of green energy alternatives and the fight against climate change and reducing carbon emissions.
The transaction was led by our Luxembourg colleagues Basile Fémelat, Partner and Arnaud Barchman Wuytiers van Vliet, Counsel.
