Michael Hajdasinski joins AKD as counsel, strengthening the firm’s Transport & Trade practice. Michael is a seasoned lawyer and a household name within the field of commodities. His skills and knowledge are applauded by the commodity community worldwide. Michael advises on issues relating to the full range of physical and financial commodities classes - particularly coal, metal ores and minerals, oil and gas (including LNG), renewable energy and soft commodities. Clients of Michael include mining groups, international oil and gas companies, trading houses, banks, power and utility companies, industrial groups and manufacturers, insurance companies, funds and private equity houses.

“We are happy to welcome Michael to our firm. His arrival gives the commodities section an enormous boost’’, says managing partner Erwin Rademakers . “The practice already handles complex cross-jurisdictional disputes and have represented clients in arbitrations under all the major international rules (ICC, LMAA, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SIAC, CIETAC and HIAC), as well as before commodity trade tribunals (including LME, GAFTA and FOSFA). With this valuable addition of Michael, we extend our position in this field.’’

Michael: “I cannot wait to contribute my experience towards expanding the commodities section at AKD. Together with this multidisciplinary team, we can further develop the range of services to our clients and contribute to the firm’s growth.”
