Dutch ‘national icon’ Ioniqa has successfully restarted its operations, safeguarding innovative technology that drives the circular economy and supports the EU’s 2030 sustainability goals.

Ioniqa, a spin-off from Eindhoven University of Technology, specialises in transforming old and coloured plastic waste into high-quality, reusable plastic. Its advanced process reduces dependence on virgin plastic made from oil.

This restart preserves critical expertise in plastic recycling, ensuring that Ioniqa continues to play a key role in advancing the sustainability agenda.
