In the latest editions of Legal 500 and Chambers Europe, AKD has moved up in the rankings for several areas of expertise. What is more, compared to 2016, the recently published 2017 editions of these authoritative legal listings contain more AKD specialists.

Every year, Legal 500 and Chambers chart the performance of law firms around the world, based on independent research and client feedback. The firms' involvement in leading cases and deals and the services they deliver are also taken into account in the assessment.

In 'The Legal 500: Europe, Middle East & Africa 2017', AKD was given the highest ranking ('tier 1') in the Environment & Planning and Transport areas of expertise, as well as in Industry focus: Food and Beverages (entered the list at tier 1). Banking & Finance went up from tier 4 to tier 3, Dispute Resolution: Commercial Litigation went from 'Other recommended' to tier 4 and Insurance, too, climbed from 'Other recommended' to tier 4. A total of 15 of AKD's areas of expertise were rewarded with a citation from Legal 500, which is three more than last year.

Furthermore, Legal 500 recommends a total of 27 AKD specialists, which is also three more than last year. Our AKD colleagues Jos van der Velden, Haco van der Houven van Oordt, Marc Wintgens and Taco de Lange were designated as 'Leading Individuals' in their respective areas of expertise.
