About Aya Kawamoto
Aya Kawamoto is Account Director Japan at AKD’s dedicated Japan Desk, which helps Japanese clients navigate the Benelux. Aya advises Dutch clients on expanding to Japan, through the firm’s close working relationships with leading law firms in Japan. She is also responsible for developing the Japanese market across all industries and for communicating and supporting Japanese clients from a wide range of sectors.
Aya worked for a global Japanese company based in Amsterdam as Sales Manager before joining AKD. She also worked in corporate development for a global Japanese electric company for seven years in Japan.
Aya has ample experience in versatile commercial fields, and her experience as Sales Manager at a global Japanese company has provided her with a wide network, and ability to listen clients' needs. She is able to think along with her clients and guide them throughout the process to find the best solution together.
Aya’s deep understanding of Japanese culture and the fact that she is a native speaker of Japanese, combined with her unique commercial experience, ensure that clients receive smooth communications and Japanese-minded services.
