About Daphne van Zelst
Daphne van Zelst is a lawyer at AKD who primarily advises medium-sized and large businesses on a broad spectrum of employment law aspects. Daphne has specific experience in a variety of sectors, such as retail, logistics and construction.
She regularly assists businesses during reorganisations, co-determination procedures, the harmonisation of employment conditions and transfers of business ownership. She not only litigates but also mediates regularly in the event of (impending) conflicts with employees and works councils.
Daphne is also active in the public sector where her focus is on, among other things, the Executives' Pay (Standards) Act [Wet Normering Topinkomens] (WNT) and the Public Servants (Standardisation of Legal Status) Act [Wet normalisering rechtspositie ambtenaren] (WNRA).
Daphne thinks in terms of solutions, rather than problems. Clients appreciate her practical approach. Daphne publishes regularly and provides training courses to, for example, HR managers and works councils.
Daphne's recent work involved the HR transformation of a large care institution and the takeover of a facilities service provider. She also advised the executive board of a large educational institution on the WNT.
