About Emma van der Ploeg

Emma van der Ploeg is an attorney-at-law at AKD who assists government agencies, companies and not-for-profit organisations with administrative and civil law issues, providing advice and litigating where necessary.

Emma's focus is on the social domain and education law, including the Social Support Act 2015 (Wet maatschappelijke ondersteuning 2015), the Youth Act (Jeugdwet), the Participation Act (Participatiewet), the Childcare Act (Wet kinderopvang) or any acts regulating Dutch education.

In addition to her work in the social domain, Emma is an experienced adviser and litigator in the fields of liability law and contract law, having assisted both government agencies and companies. Because of this experience, Emma is quickly able to recognise the mutual interests at stake. This has proved an efficient tool to drill down right to the core of the matter.
