About Guido de Vos

Guido de Vos is a lawyer at AKD. He specialises in the transport sector with an emphasis on air transport and related services. Guido advises and litigates in cases relating to contracts for the transport of passengers and cargo, such as transport and forwarding, ground handling, agency, charter, lease and aviation insurance contracts. His expertise covers national, international and European aviation regulations and the broader field of public aviation law. This includes, for example, the allocation of slots, landing rights, passenger rights, safety and security, environmental and noise regulations and immigration legislation.

He also teaches and publishes regularly on issues in this specialist field. His clients include airlines, other transport companies, logistical service providers and their insurers. They appreciate the way he engages with their businesses, as well as his broad knowledge of the mostly international market in which they operate. Read more Guido is a lecturer in aviation law at the International Institute of Air and Space Law at the Universities of Leiden and Utrecht. He also gives guest lectures at other educational institutes and publishes frequently on aviation law issues.

He is regularly asked to give lectures and courses. He is on the Service Providers’ Steering Committee of the Air Cargo Netherlands trade organisation.
