About Huub Laauwen

Huub Laauwen is a tax consultant and partner at AKD who specialises in providing fiscal advice to (inter)national businesses. He advises primarily in the field of corporation tax and international tax treaties in the context of (re)structurings, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and intellectual property structures. He also advises wealthy individuals on the (inter)national fiscal aspects of their (global) property and its management.

Huub has been working in international tax consultancy for thirty years. For some of that time he worked as head of tax at a multinational. The fact that he combines his experience as an international tax adviser with his experience as a corporate tax consultant means he is able to assist clients in a wide variety of matters. His advice and approach are extremely pragmatic and always based on the complex (international) tax legislation.

In addition, Huub has considerable experience with advising international companies on how to set up their worldwide tax strategy. Clients appreciate his direct and no-nonsense approach to consultancy. Within the framework of the applicable regulations he always looks for optimal, creative solutions, without losing sight of their feasibility in practice.
