About Karst Vriesendorp

Karst Vriesendorp is a lawyer at AKD who is part of the EU and Competition Law team. Specialising in European law, Karst works from AKD's Brussels and Rotterdam offices. The focus of his practice is on state aid, competition and procurement law, on which areas he advises private parties and government agencies alike.

Karst obtained his bachelor's degree in Law and in International Relations from the University of Groningen. He went on to successfully complete a master's degree in Law at the University of Leiden and the French and English-language LL.M European Law at the Europa College in Bruges.

Before joining AKD, Karst completed an internship at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Court of Justice of the European Union, among other stints.
