About Laura de Jong
Laura has been an attorney-at-law in our firm’s Corporate & M&A department since graduating from Utrecht University in 2008 and was appointed partner in 2018.
She mainly advises listed and unlisted foreign multinationals on all aspects of strategic investments or acquisitions in the Netherlands or in connection with global strategic transactions involving Dutch companies.
Covering the full spectrum of legal advisory services in M&A, from drafting and negotiating letters of intent via (cross-border) due diligence operations and share or business purchase agreement negotiations to closing support, her scope of work includes drafting and negotiating shareholders' or joint venture agreements and a variety of other agreements ancillary to the M&A practice. Her expertise also covers related areas of law and regulatory matters within the context of Dutch M&A.
Research feedback in the legal reference guides includes: “Laura de Jong is excellent”, “Very fine person to work with”, “Very sharp” and “Excellent communicator in any languages”. Other clients describe Laura as “very responsive and flexible with good technical knowledge”.
In November 2024, the Executive Board of the Union Internationale des Avocats approved Laura’s recommended appointment as President of the Management of Law Firms Commission for the next two years.
Laura is fluent in Dutch, English, Spanish and French.
