Nicolas Bonora is a partner at AKD and a key member of the firm’s Banking & Finance team. He specialises in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance and fund finance. Nicolas advises a diverse array of international and domestic clients, including banks, asset managers, private equity sponsors, alternative credit providers, debt funds and both public and private companies on various cross-border and domestic financing transactions.

With over 15 years of experience in Luxembourg finance matters, Nicolas serves as Luxembourg counsel on both the borrower and lender sides of syndicated and bilateral credit facilities. He also advises on fund financing facilities, including subscription/capital call facilities and NAV facilities. Additionally, he has extensive expertise in high-yield notes issuances, debt restructurings, distressed financings and security enforcement.

Nicolas is known for his proactive and reliable approach, combined with a keen eye for detail and pragmatism, which have established him as a trusted and effective advisor to his clients.

Nicolas spent a year seconded to the New York office of another prominent Benelux law firm. He has also authored several articles on cross-border lending, insolvency and financial collateral arrangements.
