About Ruben Schulpen

Ruben Schulpen is an attorney-at-law at AKD who specialises in international corporate and company law. Ruben advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, share and asset transactions, investments and joint ventures and, in this context, draws up and assesses purchase and shareholder agreements.

Ruben also carries out or coordinates legal due diligence studies and advises companies on share structures, decision-making and management structures.

Ruben’s clients are Dutch and international (upper mid-)market businesses, Dutch family-owned companies, multinationals and foreign (listed) clients and he also assists private equity and venture capital funds. It is partly as a result of this that Ruben works frequently in a multidisciplinary context for both national and international clients.

His clients appreciate his clear and pragmatic approach to legal challenges. Ruben also has Master’s in Corporate Law and also graduated with distinction with a Master’s in International Business Law.

Based on this registration, Ruben is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
