About Sander Engels

Sander Engels is a lawyer at AKD who specialises in construction law and real estate law and is involved in, among other things, complex construction and infrastructure projects, real estate transactions and disputes. Sander advises clients on integrated construction contracts and other forms of contract (such as public-private partnerships and public-private partnership alliances), matters pertaining to area and property development and transactions.

Sander also has wide-ranging experience in construction and procurement law and regularly supervises European and national tendering procedures. In addition to this he advises on innovative forms of collaboration, sustainability criteria and big data in relation to the built environment. Sander's clients include housing associations, real estate investors, government bodies and project developers.

Sander teaches and publishes regularly on various subjects pertaining to construction and procurement law. For example he co-wrote the practical guide 'Construction Contracts' [Bouwcontracten].
