About Teije van Dijk

Teije van Dijk is a partner and lawyer at AKD who specialises in private construction and real estate law. Teije focuses on complex cases (project development and contracts related to this field) involving both government and private parties (public-private partnerships). In this respect he conducts negotiations and draws up contracts.

Teije also has extensive experience with rental law, certainly with regard to the lease of commercial premises. In construction law and real estate litigation Teije acts on behalf of government bodies such as municipal and provincial authorities and private parties such as project developers and architects. His clients appreciate his calm attitude and plentiful (litigation) experience.

Teije lectures regularly and has written a variety of different publications. For example, he is one of the authors of the 'Construction law contracts' [Contracten in de bouw] manual and is also an annotator for the Construction Law [Bouwrecht] journal.

Teije litigates before the Arbitration Board for the Building Industry [Raad van Arbitrage voor de Bouw], the Netherlands Arbitration Institute [Nederlands Arbitrage Instituut] (NAI) and the civil courts.
