About Wouter de Vries

Wouter de Vries is a lawyer at AKD who specialises in construction, property and procurement law. Wouter assists and advises clients in connection with, for example, (complex) construction and infra projects, tender procedures, real estate transactions and project developments. His work also involves tenancy law issues and area developments. In addition to that Wouter draws up contracts and tender documents and advises on, and conducts, negotiations. He litigates regularly, both before the civil court (ordinary courts and courts of appeal) and in arbitration proceedings (for example before the Arbitration board for the building industry [Raad van Arbitrage voor de Bouw]).

Wouter's clients include government bodies, real estate owners, contractors, project developers and investors. Wouter publishes regularly in journals and magazines, including Bouwrecht, Tijdschrift Aanbestedingsrecht, Jurisprudentie Aanbestedingsrecht and Cobouw. He is also a member of the Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers [Vereniging van Jong Onroerend Goed Juristen] and the Dutch Association for Procurement law [Nederlandse Vereniging voor Aanbestedingsrecht]. Wouter graduated with distinction with a Master's in Civil Law.
